Looking Back to Look Forward

As 2020 draws to a close, I look back on the year with a sense of pride. Leaving the pandemic aside for a moment, I have used this year as a building period to kick start my career in fashion styling and, despite COVID not making certain aspects easy, I’ve kept positive and I look forward to 2021 with great optimism.

Having spent the first half of this year researching fashion styling, building my website and enhancing my social media presence, I started fashion college in September and successfully graduated the foundation course. Many opportunities have come my way during this period, some via the college but others self-sourced, and I have enjoyed them all, met some amazing people and learnt a lot.

Come January I will start my advanced fashion styling course which I hope to graduate from in March. I will continue to seek further opportunities to advance myself and fulfil my ambition of becoming a full time editorial and commercial fashion stylist – I’m incredibly excited for the future.

Although this year has not been easy for most people, I take pride in myself that I have made the most of my time and opportunities and I hope you have too. Thank you to everyone I’ve interacted with this year for your support and I wish you all a happy and prosperous New Year.
